As I read and reread these verses at the close of Ephesians 6, (immediately following the instructions for putting on the Armor of God), I took note of this prayer request from Paul to his readers. It struck me. I paused and pondered. Then I wrote in the margin of my Bible, "pray this for every Christian leader and teacher you know." Next, because I am a very forgetful person, I wrote it out on a post-it note to be used as reminder to pray. There is just something miraculous about using a pen and a piece of paper to rewrite Scripture that also helps me to cement truths in to my mind. In the process of reading, recording and commissioning to memory to pray these verses over others, I realized just how much I would love for others to pray this prayer for me too. Which led me to consider that perhaps all of us would love to have these words prayed of over us. "You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." I began to wonder and imagine what would happen if each of us prayed this prayer over one another. Consequently, I went looking through my photos for a picture that would work for a backdrop to create an Instagram image to get the verses and the challenge out there: What if this was our prayer for one another every day? What if this is what we asked others to pray over us? Can you even envision the impact we would see in our words, our conversations and the influence of the Body of Christ on the culture around us? Let's start praying this and find out. "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

YES!!! We all need to pray this for those who have influence, our husbands, children and selves. What a great challenge! I'm in!
